Distance by Raven

People say distance doesn't matter. People say that absence makes the heart go fonder. People lie. Distance does matter. Distance always matters. Absence makes people grow apart. Whether it's a friend, or a love. They all leave eventually, leaving you alone, in the dark. You're lost, with nowhere to go. And you're not even sure where you've come from. Everyone expects you to just carry on, so you do. But your heart still aches from the loss. It will always ache, because it will never be the same. Yet it's not a death. They're still very much alive. But that almost makes it worse. You slowly lose touch with them, and you grow apart. Eventually, you'll forget you were even that close with them. You may even forget who they are. Or they may forget who you are. It's not fun, distance. People try to make you think it will be ok, but it never is. Eventually, you'll lose everyone to either distance, death, or anger. And I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry. But there's nothing you can do about it.
