I'm the tech web admin, I spend my time working with a robotics team to help me on my way to a possible career in aerospace or robotic engineering. I have a passion for many of the arts, including many styles of dance, writing, and photography. Even though my creative side might not end up being a large part of my professional life, it will always be a part of my life, and a large tribute to my free time.

Cardinal (Editing Apprentice/Creative Subcommittee)
I am a smart, curious girl who loves to read. Most of the time I stay up late reading. I like action and adventure books. I love animals. My favorite color is pink. Writing makes me feel happy. I like to express my thoughts in words. I like to write poems and short stories. When I grow up I want to be an author because of how much I like to write.I love to do artistic stuff like painting, drawing, and I also love to make things out of paper. I love to take pictures with my camera. I like to take pictures of nature and interesting things.
I chose the name Cardinal, because it reminds me of a dear friend that died a few years ago because he had cancer. Cardinals always make me think of him. I still miss him. He would have really like to read this blog.

Chickadee (Chairperson/Temporary Secretary)
As the Chair/Organizer of the Songbird Committee, it is my responsibility to offer guidance and organization, inspire creativity, and to support and encourage fellow writers and artists. I have been passionate about writing since the day I started. At the age of 8, I wrote and performed my own play, and gave my poetry as gifts to loved ones. To this day, I cannot go a day without writing something.One of my favorite pastimes is writing "old fashioned" snail mail letters to my 92 year old grandmother. I take great joy in expressing my gratitude via the written word. I have a fondness for writing poetry, short stories, character creations, and blogging about life.
When not writing, you might find me reading, photographing (using a point-n-click), sketching, painting with watercolors, teaching (usually English classes of some kind), dancing, walking outside, and occasionally, especially on nice days, you'll catch me swinging on the playground.

I'm am the Facebook administrator/layout director/editor for Songbird Lane. I spend a large portion of my time on computers, dancing, writing, and various types of art and music. My skills in editing and layout are limited, but I will contribute what I can do to Songbird Lane.

Hummingbird (Photography Apprentice/Creative Subcommittee)
I love to sing and dance! I take all types of different dance classes like tap, jazz, and ballet. I also sing in front of other people, but I get kind of nervous. I like to play with my best friends outside, making things like fairy food and houses, as well as play with my dogs. I also go horseback riding during the weekdays, and I ride horses named Maud, Easy, and Aztec.I really like to draw! That's the main reason that I'm on the creative committee for Songbird Lane. I also like to play video games like World of Warcraft and Go Girls Games with some of the other committee members. I've traveled all over the world, to Turkey, Thailand, and Cambodia. I also have traveled throughout the US, from Florida to Chicago.

Magpie (Editing Team)
Theater, is my passion. It's what I do with my life. Coming in a close second is dancing. And tying for third would have to be singing and writing poetry. I've never been one to express more than joy and mild annoyance when it comes to emotion, so i use those four things to release.
I have always enjoyed the arts, whether going to see a play or performing in one, to looking at art and creating some. My life is the arts, I would be nothing without it. But I think the main reason I enjoy it so much is that I get to help spread the arts to other people; so that maybe some day someone can say "I was inspired by this one girl, so I decided to get involved in the arts as well."
Peacock (Art Apprentice/Creative Subcommittee)
I don’t write that much but I love to draw and I like to do photography. I have been drawing since I was 4 years old and my mom has kept all my drawings since then. I don’t just draw anything, I prefer to draw creatures of beauty, mainly horses.I love my dog Bailey. She’s really obedient but jumps on people when she is excited or when she meets someone new. I am home schooled now but I did go to public school for 1 year. I like homeschooling because I don’t have to go to a school every day and I can get my work done early. I can do more drawing, reading and other fun things when I’m finished. I have lots of friends even though I’m home schooled.
I do community service for our neighborhood. I’ve painted curbs and the local park. I’ve picked up trash along the streets of our neighborhood.

Raven
I am a teenage girl living in West Virginia. At my age, there are a lot of things happening. Driving, college, relationships, etc. I write because writing gives me an outlet, albeit a rarely used one. I joined the publications committee to be with my friends, explore my creative side, and to contribute to the amazing work everyone here does. I may be one of the newest members, but I hope to be just as useful as everyone that's been here since the beginning.

Swift (Art Director/Creative Subcommittee Director)
Swift is a teen poet who also likes to draw, garden, practice archery and spends more of her time reading or playing bass. Swift lives in WV and enjoys vacations in Florida. When not entranced by a book, swift cares for her two dogs, five cats, and multiple plants.

I am a shy, hyper, anime-loving, roleplay-enthusiastic girl with grammar problems. I have more original characters than I bother to count, and I draw them all the time. I consider my artistic strength to be my shading, and I constantly have problems with proportions. Between my astounding procrastination skills and my slight perfectionism, I take forever to write things. I'm absolutely useless when it comes to colors, and my anatomy needs some work, but I hope that if I draw lots and lots, that'll eventually get better.
